Description

Serranos Towers are an impressive example of Valencia's medieval defense architecture. Built between 1392 and 1398 in the Valencian Gothic style, they served as the main northern gateway to the city.

From the solid stone walls covered with limestone facing, one can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the city.

The towers have served various functions over the centuries, from a prison for nobles and knights (1586-1887) to a storage facility for artwork from the Prado Museum during the Spanish Civil War.

This is a great place for history and architecture lovers to discover Valencia's rich past.
