Description
Castell de Serra is an Arab fortress dating back to the 8th-9th centuries, standing on a 536-meter peak in the Sierra Calderona National Park. The castle ruins, with a 10-meter main tower and battlements, offer breathtaking views of the Turia Valley and the coast.
This place combines medieval history with wild nature—the castle was conquered by El Cid himself in 1094. A two-hour trail through the forest leads to the ruins, where silence and panoramic views reward the effort of the climb.
