Description
Cape Point Nature Reserve covers 7,750 hectares of wild cliffs, unique fynbos vegetation, and 40 km of coastline where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.
The historic lighthouse, built too high and leading to numerous disasters (including the legendary Flying Dutchman), is now accessible by the Flying Dutchman Funicular. Shipwreck trails lead to the remains of ships, and wild beaches such as Platboom tempt visitors with their desolation and dunes full of ostriches.
