Description

The Museum of Dogs is South Africa's first museum dedicated exclusively to dogs, opening in a historic building in July 2024. Six fascinating exhibitions tell the stories of dogs as companions, workers, and cultural icons.

From the legendary Great Dane Just Nuisance of World War II to the origins of the Rhodesian Ridgeback, each exhibit is both moving and entertaining. Over 40 personal stories, photographs by DJ Shelwell, ceramics by Tania Babb, and sculptures create a unique atmosphere full of emotion and humor.
