Sochaczew-Bielice Airport

Sochaczew-Bielice Airport is one of the largest airport facilities in Poland, covering an impressive 660 hectares. Although no aircraft have been stationed here since 1998, the airport still serves a military function as a base for Polish missile squadrons.

It is distinguished by a concrete and asphalt runway 2,500 meters long and 60 meters wide, as well as a parallel grass runway.

There are plans to turn the facility into a low-cost airport serving the Lodz region, western Mazovia and the Warsaw agglomeration, which could make the site an important hub for travelers.
