Zamek Šariš

Sariš Castle is one of the oldest and largest fortresses in Slovakia, dating back to the 13th century. Located on a hilltop, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Although the castle has been in ruins since 1678, when it was destroyed by a gunpowder explosion, it still impresses with its mix of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The site is listed as a National Cultural Heritage Site in Slovakia.

A scenic trail leads to the ruins, and the hike takes about 45 minutes. An ideal place for history and nature lovers!
