Description

Sissinghurst is one of Britain's most beautiful and romantic gardens. Created in the 1930s by poet Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson, it delights in being divided into themed 'rooms'.

Each part of the garden has its own unique character, from the famous White Garden to the Mediterranean Delos Garden. A four-story Elizabethan tower with two octagonal turrets is the centerpiece of the complex and was Vita's private creative space.

Outside the gardens, visitors can explore the historic buildings and learn about the fascinating history of the site, which was once a wartime prison and a poorhouse.
