Description

Ponte di Vivara is a unique 362-meter long pedestrian bridge that connects the island of Procida to the uninhabited islet of Vivara. This once longest Tibetan bridge in the world leads to a fascinating nature reserve, full of Mediterranean vegetation and over 100 species of birds.

Vivara Island is also a site of archaeological significance, where traces of Bronze Age settlement have been discovered. The main path crosses the island lengthwise, leading through old trees, historic buildings and archaeological sites.

The best time to explore this charming place is in spring and autumn, when the Mediterranean vegetation is in full bloom.
