Description

Sé Catedral is Porto's majestic cathedral, combining Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles. Its history dates back to the 12th century, and the interior is stunning with a wealth of gold, silver and beautiful azulejos depicting biblical scenes.

The cathedral's terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and the Douro River. The site has witnessed important historical events, including the wedding of King John I to Philippa Lancaster in 1387, which sealed the Anglo-Portuguese alliance.

An impressive facade with two square towers and a 13th century rosette create the unique character of this medieval building.
