Description
Sanssouci is a jewel of rococo architecture in Potsdam, known as the 'Prussian Versailles'. The summer palace of Frederick the Great, built between 1745 and 1747, impresses with its elegance and splendor in the 'Frederician Rococo' style.
The stunning terraced gardens, originally designed as a vineyard, create a harmonious blend of architecture and nature. The 168 glazed niches and ornamental flower parterres add to the charm of this unique place.
The site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. It is the ideal place for history, architecture and nature lovers.
