Sanctuary of Christ the King-Portugal

The Shrine of Christ the King-Portugal is a monumental Catholic religious building inspired by the famous Christ the Redeemer statue of Rio de Janeiro.

This impressive structure consists of an 82-meter-high pedestal topped by a 28-meter-high statue of Christ. The observation deck offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Lisbon, the Tagus River and the April 25 Bridge.

Inside are two chapels: the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace and the Chapel of the Trustees of Jesus, which hold relics available for public veneration.
