Description
Salt Galata is a unique museum housed in a former Ottoman bank building dating back to 1892. It combines historic architecture with a modern approach to art and culture.
A specialized library with more than 100,000 printed materials attracts researchers and students interested in art, architecture and economics. Permanent exhibitions showcase the fascinating 145-year history of the Ottoman bank.
The winter garden on the fourth floor offers a space for relaxation, and the Robinson Crusoe 389 café and bookstore round out this cultural experience. The second floor offers picturesque views of the Golden Horn and the Historic Peninsula.
