Description
The Old Town Square in Prague is the heart of the historic Old Town, which has been the center of city life since the 12th century.
This charming square impresses with its famous medieval astronomical clock on the tower of the Gothic Town Hall, which comes to life every hour in a fascinating display of moving figures.
Dominating the square is the Gothic Church of the Virgin Mary in front of the Tyn and the Baroque Church of St. Nicholas. The site has witnessed many historical events, including the execution of 27 Czech nobles in 1621.
In winter, the square turns into a magical Christmas wonderland, offering an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
