Ruta Volcan Caldera blanca is a unique hiking trail in Lanzarote, leading through fascinating lava fields to an impressive crater more than a kilometer in diameter.
This 10-kilometer trail offers unforgettable views of the surrounding villages, the sea and Timanfaya National Park. During the 3.5-hour hike, you'll discover the island's unique geological formations and biodiversity.
The trail is marked with information boards that introduce you to the geological history of the site. From the top of the crater, you can admire the rivers of lava that covered the area during the 1730-1736 eruption.
