Description
Cantacuzino Castle is an impressive Neo-Romanian and Neo-Brâncovenesc style mansion, built between 1901 and 1911 for Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, known as 'Nabob'.
The castle impresses with its rich decorations, Venetian glass stained glass windows, marble stucco and Italian ceramics. The ballroom displays a collection of coats of arms of noble families, unique in Romania.
The art gallery regularly hosts exhibitions of works by world-renowned artists, including Salvador Dalí, Picasso and van Gogh. The 3.5-acre castle park offers breathtaking views of the Bucegi Mountains.
