Blidaru Fortress is an impressive dacian fortification dating back to the 1st century BC, located at an altitude of 750 meters in the Orăștie Mountains.

This unique UNESCO-listed fortress impresses with its innovative military architecture with six towers and two interconnected rooms in a 6,000 m² area.

The road to the fortress leads through a dense forest, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys. The hour-long walk along a trail used since antiquity is an excellent option for history and nature lovers.
