Description

The ruins of Dvigrad Castle is a fascinating monument of medieval architecture located in picturesque Istria. This abandoned fortress, whose name means 'Two Cities,' impresses with its well-preserved defensive walls, three towers and main town square.

The highest point, where the 13th-century St. Sophia Church is located, offers a spectacular view of the Draga Valley. Walking along the cobblestone streets, you can feel the atmosphere of the former bustling city, which was abandoned due to the plague and malaria epidemics.

Admission is free, making this place ideal for history and photography enthusiasts.
