Description
Rozmberk is one of the oldest castles in the Czech Republic, dating back to the 13th century. Originally owned by the powerful Vítkovci family, it impresses with a mix of architectural styles from Gothic to Neo-Gothic.
Visitors can admire the unique Renaissance sgraffito on the facades and the valuable collections of Baroque furniture and paintings by famous artists. The castle is famous for the legend of Perchta, the 'White Lady,' whose ghost is said to still haunt these walls.
The Jakobín Tower and the English Tower offer breathtaking views of the picturesque surroundings and the Vltava River.
