Roundway White Horse

Roundway White Horse is a modern horse statue carved into a chalk hill in 1999 to commemorate the third millennium.

Unlike other white horses in Wiltshire, this 45-foot-tall effigy depicts a horse in motion, facing to the right. The figure is a reference to an earlier 'Snobs Horse' from 1845, which was created by local cobblers.

The vantage point offers a picturesque view of the Pewsey Valley, where the horse 'looks' towards another famous statue - the Alton Barnes White Horse. This is an excellent destination for history buffs and lovers of unusual scenery.
