"Mihai Eminescu" National Theatre

The National Theater 'Mihai Eminescu' is the cultural jewel of Timișoara, founded in 1945. This impressive Renaissance-style building with classical and neo-Baroque elements shares space with the Romanian National Opera and the Hungarian and German theaters.

The main theater auditorium can accommodate 722 spectators, and the 23 × 13-meter stage hosts both classical and contemporary performances.

The interior decorated in Neo-Roman eclectic style with Neo-Byzantine and Art Deco elements, elegant chandeliers and plush seating create a unique atmosphere for theater lovers.
