Description
Rocher Bayard is a spectacular rock formation in the Meuse Valley in Dinant. This 35-meter-high rock with a unique horseshoe shape hides a fascinating legend about the four sons of Aymon, who, fleeing Charlemagne's army, jumped the river thanks to Bayard's horse, which kicked the rock, splitting it.
The site offers breathtaking views of the Meuse Valley and the surrounding countryside. At the foot of the rock is a mysterious cave with unusual stalactites and stalagmites, which is particularly delightful for children, stimulating their imagination.
It is the perfect place for nature, history and legend lovers.
