Description

Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) is an extraordinary Buddhist temple that impresses with its unearthly beauty.

Designed by famous Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, it combines traditional Buddhist architecture with modern artistic elements. The white color symbolizes the Buddha's purity, while millions of small mirrors create a shining effect, representing wisdom and enlightenment.

The bridge leading to the main temple, known as the 'Cycle of Rebirth,' symbolizes the transition from life and death to enlightenment. Inside, there are contrasting paintings to the exterior depicting demons, flames and western stars, illustrating the journey from suffering to enlightenment.
