The Franciscan Monastery is a true historical gem on the island of Hvar. This unique monument hides a fascinating museum with a collection of Greek, Roman and Venetian coins and unusual amphorae.

The monastery's greatest treasure is an impressive painting of the Last Supper, attributed to the painter from Ravenna or the school of Palma Junior.

History buffs will also appreciate the Renaissance cross on the main altar and the Baroque cross made by Giacomo Piazetta in the 18th century. The archives also contain the oldest stone inscription found in Croatia.
