Description
Salisbury Cathedral is a gem of early Gothic English architecture, built in just 38 years (1220-1258).
Its slender tower, rising 123 meters high, is the tallest in all of England. Inside you can admire the oldest working clock in Europe, dating back to 1386, and one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta of 1215.
The building's unique symmetry and proportions, decorated with dark gray Purbeck marble, create an unforgettable impression of harmony and lightness, despite the monumental size of the structure.
