Description
St. Stephen's Basilica in Budapest is one of the most impressive monuments in the Hungarian capital. This neo-Gothic architectural gem, built over 50 years, impresses with its 96-meter dome and richly decorated interiors.
Inside you can admire beautiful frescoes, mosaics and stained glass windows, as well as the most precious relic - the mummified right hand of Hungary's first king, St. Stephen.
It's worth taking the elevator to the observation deck, which offers a breathtaking panorama of Budapest and the Danube. The basilica is also a venue for organ concerts and choral performances.
