Anta-Capela de São Dinis

Anta-Capela de São Dinis is a unique monument that combines prehistory with Christianity. This megalithic tomb from the 4th-3rd millennium BC was converted into a Christian chapel in the 17th century.

The structure impresses with its size - a chamber 4.30 meters in diameter and 3.30 meters high, with original seven pillars and a massive cap boulder. Inside is a baroque altar made of azulejos (tiles).

This is one of the most important megalithic sites in Portugal that will delight lovers of history, archaeology and photography. A place where the past meets the present in a fascinating way.
