Description
Rathauspark is a charming 40,000-square-meter city park located in front of Vienna's City Hall. Designed in 1873 by Rudolf Siebeck, it offers picturesque alleys, two symmetrical sections with fountains, and exotic plants, including Japanese pagoda trees and ginkgo biloba trees.
The park is home to numerous monuments dedicated to prominent figures such as Johann Strauss II and Karl Renner. A variety of events are held here throughout the year - a winter ice rink, summer open-air movie screenings and a Christmas market.
