Description

Queen of Cups is a unique restaurant housed in a 17th century inn in the heart of Glastonbury. It specializes in modern Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, offering flavorful dishes prepared by chef Ayesha Kalaji.

The restaurant has won the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand award and was nominated for the 'best debut' award in the Estrella Damm Top 100 Gastropubs 2023. The menu is based on local products and ingredients, and features dishes for sharing, homemade desserts and Somerset cheeses.

The restaurant takes its name from a tarot card symbolizing feminine energy, emotional connection and compassion.

avatarJade Westona month agoWe went for a birthday lunch and the food was phenomenal. A much higher standard than we expected from what looks like a standard pub. The service was perfect- friendly, accommodating and helpful. Every plate was well presented, each ingredient was explained in detail and the food is delicious. The wait time was spot on so food didn’t take too long but there was enough time to relax and chat between plates and courses. We felt very welcome, including the dog! well looked after and will certainly be going back. A real treat.
avatarEllen Camerlynck2 months agoMy first experience dining at a Michelin star restaurant and it was great. The food was amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly and understanding, even if I was anxious and there had been a miscommunication between one of the servers and me (I hadn't been clear). Definitely a wonderful experience, and the perfect end to my trip and a late birthday gift to myself. It was very affordable as well, which I appreciate.
avatarBryony Ball3 months agoThe food is exquisite with layers of deep, zangy exiting flavours. Every bite is an explosion of taste. We ordered all the vegan dishes and I couldn’t flaw them (from taste, flavour, texture to presentation). As a vegan chef who is highly critical of vegan food out I rarely eat somewhere that I have much praise for. It is not often you find chefs that create such special food as this. This is the second time I’ve been and it’s only got better. Exceptional.
