Description
Giardini di Augusto are enchanting gardens on the island of Capri, originally known as the Krupp Gardens. Renamed in 1918 in honor of Emperor Augustus, who visited the island more than two thousand years ago.
The terraced layout of the gardens offers breathtaking views of Marina Piccola Bay and the famous Faraglioni rocks. Among the lush vegetation, you'll find geraniums, dahlias and filberts, as well as a unique statue of Vladimir Lenin from 1968 - one of the few in Italy.
This is the perfect place for nature, history and photography lovers, where for a nominal fee of 1 euro you can enjoy some of the most beautiful panoramas of the island.
