Praça do Comércio

Praça do Comércio is one of the largest squares in Europe and a symbol of Lisbon's power. Surrounded by distinctive yellow Pombaline-style buildings, it offers breathtaking views of the Tagus River estuary.

The centerpiece of the square is the imposing statue of King Joseph I, which symbolizes Portugal's former monarchical glory. Also worth seeing is the Rua Augusta Triumphal Arch, which offers a panoramic view of the city.
