The Gothenburg Botanical Garden is one of the largest and most impressive botanical gardens in Europe. The 175-hectare area houses some 16,000-20,000 plant species from 130 countries around the world.

The garden, founded in 1919, offers a variety of themed zones, including a Rock Garden, an Herb Garden with a demonstration beehive, a Japanese Gorge and an Arboretum with a scientific collection of trees.
