National Botanical Garden Dr. Rafael María Moscoso

The Dr. Rafael María Moscoso National Botanical Garden is the largest botanical garden in the Caribbean, covering an area of about 2 square kilometers.

It is a true paradise for nature lovers, offering more than 69,000 classified plant species. Strolling through the alleys, you'll discover the Japanese Garden, the Orchidarium with more than 300 species of orchids and the medicinal plant route.

About 40% of the garden is a nature reserve, home to a variety of flora and fauna. For bird enthusiasts, it's a great place to observe rare species, including the hispaniola woodpecker and hispaniola parrot.
