Description
Jægersborg Dyrehave is a unique UNESCO-listed forest park located near Copenhagen. The 11-kilometer-long area impresses with its combination of history and nature, where some 2,100 deer of three species walk among centuries-old oak trees.
The park offers picturesque landscapes, meadows and lakes ideal for walking, biking or horseback riding. History buffs will appreciate the 18th-century Eremitage Palace and former hunting lodges associated with Danish royalty.
The best time for deer watching is early morning or late afternoon. Bring comfortable shoes and a picnic basket to fully enjoy this enchanting place.
