Description
Highdown Gardens is a unique garden on a chalky soil, offering 8.52 acres of botanical wonders.
Founded by Sir Frederick Stern and his wife, the garden is famous for its collection of rare plants and trees, including Davidia involucrata (Veil Tree) and Cercis siliquastrum (Judas Tree).
Snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils delight here in spring, and peonies and irises in summer. Tranquil paths and scenic sea views from the South Downs create the perfect place for a relaxing stroll among the botanical treasures.
