Belvedere Porto Selvaggio is an enchanting nature reserve in the province of Lecce that delights any nature lover.
It's a place full of discoveries - from breathtaking beaches, to mysterious caves (including the Grotta del Cavallo - one of the most important prehistoric sites in Europe), to impressive watchtowers.
A unique landscape is formed by the Palude del Capitano wetland with small crater lakes, which are habitats for rare plant and animal species. For adventurers, there are hiking trails, opportunities to dive and enjoy the crystal clear waters.

Marco F.a year agoWonderful viewpoint over the Porto Selvaggio park, it can be reached via a path that starts from the Torre dell'Alto. The panel and bench with dedications to Renata Fonte, a victim of the mafia who paid with her life for her love for this place are beautiful and thanks to her we can still enjoy this wonder

Where here, as far as I'm concerned, walking becomes a moment of reflection.... far from the daily routine. Thanks again to S.ra Renata Fonte who has preserved with all of herself a little piece of this beautiful world.....Where are we?
