Description
Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens is a botanical treasure with a history dating back to 1765. Founded by the 1st Countess of Ilchester, they offer an extraordinary experience among more than 6,000 exotic plants from around the world.
The secluded valley at Chesil Beach creates a unique microclimate, allowing rare species such as Himalayan rhododendrons, magnolias and hydrangeas to grow.
Explore the forest sculpture path with figures of Alice, the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat adding to the magic of the place. In winter, the gardens delight with spectacular illuminations, lighting up the vegetation with fabulous colors.
