Ponte Dom Luís I is an impressive two-story arch bridge over the Douro River in Porto. Designed by a pupil of Gustave Eiffel, it is a masterpiece of 19th-century engineering and is part of the UNESCO site.

PHONG B. DAO2 weeks agoOne of the best things you must see in Porto. The bridge (400 meters long) is used by motorists on the lower part. The metro can travel over the upper part. It's recommended to walk along the river and then follow the staircase (about 500 meters) to go up to the upper part of the bridge and then enjoy the amazing views!
Georges Ga week agoAbsolutely stunning bridge between two halves of a very old city. The contrast of the steel structure against the backdrop of terracotta roofs and the deep blue Douro is jaw-dropping. Do both levels and soak it all in.

This bridge has two stories, the lower one is only for pedestrians. The upper one is for people and for trains.
The view is so amazing, for me the best view in all of Europe. I could stand on this bridge for days and it would still be interesting.Where are we?
