Description

The Saint Wenceslas Monument is an impressive monument located in the heart of Prague's Wenceslas Square. This majestic bronze sculpture depicts the patron saint of Bohemia as a warrior on horseback, ready for battle.

The monument stands 7.2 meters tall and is surrounded by sculptures of other Czech patron saints, including St. Ludmila and St. Agnes.

The site has witnessed many historical events, including the declaration of Czechoslovak independence in 1918 and the Velvet Revolution in 1989. For Prague residents, the monument is a symbol of national pride and a popular meeting point.
