Description
The Zgorzelec Railway Bridge is an impressive monument of architecture and engineering from the mid-19th century. This 475-meter-long stone arch bridge, consisting of 35 arches divided into six sections, is one of the four longest stone bridges in Poland and the longest in Germany.
Built between May 1844 and July 1847 from local granite, its design is reminiscent of Roman stone bridges. It makes an excellent destination for history, architecture and railroad enthusiasts.
The bridge offers scenic views of Zgorzelec and Görlitz, making it a popular destination for photographers and tourists seeking unique perspectives.
