Description

The Ślichowice Rock Preserve is a unique geological site in Kielce that impresses with spectacular tectonic folds formed in the Paleozoic era.

The former limestone quarry, converted into a nature reserve in 1952, offers a fascinating lesson in Earth history. Didactic paths with information boards prepared by Geopark Kielce allow even those without geological knowledge to understand the significance of the site.

It's an ideal place for a 1-2 hour walk, during which you can admire tectonic phenomena that bear witness to the Variscan orogenesis.
