Andrew Szleper3 years agoQshi-Sushi, is definitely the product for the time of pandemic. Being a takeout/ delivery establishment, it does a good job, has very friendly personel and provides good alternative for sushi.
In general, the sushi was of very good quality, the fish was fresh and rice nicely done. It is definitely made to order and that is a pleasant surprise. I generally judge sushi based on the quality of their Hosomaki, specifically two: Sake-maki and Tekka-maki. For the most part Qshi did a great job with the first, the second could have been better packed as the tuna was of very good quality and it was a shame that rice voids didn't do it justice.
Now having said all that, here are a few more notes, that once corrected would bring this establishment to a five star rating. First and foremost, although wasabi is a type horseradish, it should in no case be mixed with the horseradish of the western kind so familiar to all sausage consumers. It is just wrong, tastes gritty and unpleasant. I ended up using my own which I prepared at home. Second, less is more. Yes I understand that the chef tries to be original and present the product in best way possible, this is however sushi that you are presenting, and it in itself is planty colorful and appealing the way it was designed to be served by the Japanese. Please skip all the fruit and sprouts, your product is very appealing and tasty with out them, else provide it as a customary little salad in a small box of it's own.
All in all, Qshi provides good sushi at a competitive price. For a town away from a sea or ocean, the product is fresh and well prepared. I definitely recommend this place and will be back to try their next, hopefully a 5 star meal.
Markus Wie2 years agoAmazing!!! The best Sushi I've ever eaten... an atmospheric place in the 16th century underground UNDER the Town Hall, nice service and delicious Cocktails. We order on average 2 times a week to take home and we haven't waited more than an hour. ALWAYS ON TIME AND TASTY!!! I recommend
