Description
The Millennium Park is a unique place in Poznan that was created on the site of a former military shooting range. Opened in 1966 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the Polish state, it impresses with its distinctive acacia robin trees and some 30 monumental erratic boulders, the largest of which is 5.6 meters in diameter.
The park offers walking paths, playgrounds and picnic areas. There is also a small open-air theater with a concert shell, where cultural events are held.
It is an ideal place for nature lovers as well as those interested in history and geology.
