Description
The Dąmbski Palace in Toruń is a pearl of Baroque architecture from 1693, built by Bishop Stanislaw Dąmbski. It impresses with its richly decorated facade with unique stucco floral ornamentation, which is one of the few surviving examples of Baroque ornamentation in the city.
Currently, the palace is the headquarters of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Impresaryjne Musical Theater, making it not only a monument, but also a living cultural center. After numerous transformations over the centuries, including functioning as the Hotel Gdański, the building underwent a major restoration between 1976 and 1992, restoring its original appearance.
