Description
St. Adalbert is an impressive 205 cm high sandstone sculpture located in a niche of the church's southern facade.
This eclectic statue depicts one of Poland's most important patron saints - a bishop of Prague and missionary who became the apostle of Prussia.
The monument is not only an object of religious worship, but also a valuable work of art and a testimony to Polish history. The silver coffin with the saint's relics is located in Gniezno Cathedral, making the site an important point on the map of Polish cultural heritage.
