Description
The ruins of Golesz Castle are a fascinating monument of medieval defensive architecture. This 14th-century fortress, built on a hill above the Vistula River, offers not only picturesque views but also a rich history.
Originally serving as a fortress, later transformed into a fortified residence of the Benedictines of Tyniec, the castle impresses with its irregular quadrilateral shape with round towers.
Fragments of the eastern wall of the entrance gate, parts of the round tower and the defensive walls have survived to this day - an ideal place for lovers of history and beautiful landscapes.
