Description
The Palace in Poznan, also known as the Imperial Castle, is an impressive historical monument built in 1910 for Kaiser Wilhelm II. This neo-Romanesque edifice with a Byzantine Throne Room is a fascinating testament to the region's turbulent history.
The palace is surrounded by a beautiful rose garden with a fountain inspired by the Fountain of the Lions from the Alhambra. The building has undergone significant transformations - from a symbol of German domination, to Hitler's headquarters during World War II, to a center of Polish culture.
Note the richly decorated imperial apartments and the corridor with statues of historical rulers, which impress with their splendor and craftsmanship.
