Description
The Pod Blachą Palace is a unique architectural monument located in the heart of Warsaw's Old Town, right next to the Royal Castle. It owes its name to its distinctive copper roof, which sets it apart from other buildings.
Purchased by King Stanislaw August in 1776, the palace was merged with the main library of the Royal Castle, enriching the complex with new cultural and educational spaces.
The interiors impress with their richness of detail - the Grand Staircase, the Crown Guard Rooms and the Marble Room are true gems of 18th century art, restored after the destruction of World War II.
