Description
The former palace of the Sapieha family is a fascinating monument from the 18th century, designed by the famous architect Charles Martin Frantz.
This four-winged structure combines elements of Baroque and Classicism, bearing witness to the rich history of the Polish nobility.
Originally the residence of Smolensk voivode Piotr Sapieha and his wife Joanna Sulkowska, the palace served various functions over the centuries - from a shelter for the elderly and disabled to a municipal bathhouse.
Today, although unavailable for regular visits, it impresses with its facade and is an important part of Lublin's cultural heritage.
