Pomnik Czołg

The Tank Monument is a unique historical monument in Gdansk, depicting an original T-34 tank from the 1st Armored Brigade named after the Heroes of Westerplatte. This historic vehicle was the first to enter Gdynia on March 27, 1945 during the liberation of Gdansk.

The tank was preserved in its original condition, along with its 76.2mm F-34 gun and engine. In 1946 it was repaired and placed on a stone pedestal on Zwycięstwa Avenue.

It is not only a tourist attraction, but also a living history lesson on the city's liberation struggle. The inscription on the tank commemorates its role in the return of Gdansk to the motherland.
