Description
The Stone Steps is a historic, narrow and steep street in Warsaw's Old Town, consisting of stone steps. Dating back to at least 1527, originally wooden, it was rebuilt in stone in the late 18th century.
This picturesque place, surrounded by tenement houses, offers charming views and a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for strolling and photography. According to legend, Napoleon Bonaparte himself admired the Vistula River from here.
The staircase connects the upper part of the Old Town with the Vistula boulevards, providing an excellent starting point for exploring other sights of Warsaw.
